The Woodland Baby Deer Stocking features a little fawn curled up in the forest under the pines, while the snow falls softly.
The Baby Deer Stocking is made from gray herringbone wool fabric. The backing fabric is the same as the front. The fawn is made from light brown wool fabric and the pine trees are made from dark green and plaid green wool fabric. The "snow flurries" are hand stitched unto the fabric with embroidery floss. The fawn and trees are all hand cut and hand sewn onto the stocking using embroidery floss.
Each stocking is lined with cotton muslin fabric and the cuff is white natural cotton batting. Fusible interfacing is added to the body of the stocking to give it durability. A heavy jute twine loop makes it ready to hang.
Finished stocking dimensions:
• 21.5" long from upper right corner of stocking to toe (56 cm)
• 8.5" wide below the cuff (21.5 cm)
• 11.5" wide from toe to heel (29 cm)
This stocking is made right here in the north woods of Maine and each stocking is individually crafted by hand, no two will be identical. Your stocking will closely resemble the one shown in these photographs.
